Christmas in Romanian families

It was the day of 24 December. Mother was preparing for Christmas. I went with my mother shopping and when we returned home, I went snowslashing because it was snowing and the snow gathered quickly. I played and I went home to decorate the Christmas-tree and the house smelled like, candles and coloured lamps and bells. But I didn't forget stokings for Santa Claus. At home smelt like branches, cookies and fruits.
Then I went in my bethroom, I watched TV because it was a film with Santa Claus. I went in the living-room, I circled the christmas-tree because I wanted to see Santa Claus coming. The house and the christmas-tree was very beatiful. Finnally I fell asleep. Anastasia Spetcu, 6th grade A

Santa Claus comes on 24th December. Every night when Santa comes Iam excited..
One night, 3 years ago, when I was at my grandparents' and I was decorating my Christmas tree I heard something at my door. I got scared and quickly opened the door.
And what I saw was Santa Claus. Like in reality...in red and white, with old clothes.
We sang melodies, and he didn't forget why came: he gave us presents. It was a beautiful day of Christmas!

December, is the most beloved month of the year! I say this because I love this month, too. It's the month when Jesus was born and we celebrate Chrismas through Santa Claus' gifts. Santa Claus is an old man with red clothes and he brings gifts to children, beautiful gifts or poor gifts, it depends on how the children behaved that year.

Christmas is, for me, the best holiday of them all.On the week before the holiday me and my mum go shopping. We buy the Christmas tree that we adorn on Christmas Eve, the night before the big day. We also buy pedal, Christmas balls, candies, lighting equipment and others. There are carolers at the door. I'm so excited about the gifts I am to receive tomorrow.This year I am celebrating this holiday at my grandparents' home, in the country. I hope there will be lots of snow this year...I love skating and skiing
