Tishka

I have a big beautiful cat. He is very clever and independent. There are a lot of mice in my garden and my cat likes to play with them. One day he lay on the grass in the garden. How still he lay! Only his tail was slowly moving. All at once he made a jump, and then we saw a little mouse in his mouth.
What tricks he played with it! He put the little mouse down on the ground and pretended that he was not looking. When the mouse tried to run away he caught it in a moment. When he saw that we were watching him, he brought the mouse into yhe room where we were and showed us what tricks he could play. Tishka saw a big jar and dropped the mouse into it. But when he tried to get it out again he found he could not do it. He tried again and again but his paws were not long enough to get to the mouse.
All at once he jumped up. He put his paws on the side of the jar and rolled it over, so that the mouse slipped out of the jar. He caught the mouse at once and ran away to eat it.
