Tom

A pet is an animal kept in a house as a friend.  There are so many pets in the world which  include monkeys, parrots, dogs, fish and a host of others.
The name of my pet is Tom. It is a cat.  Tom  came into my family  during    a stormy night  when I was sent by my father to buy bread for breakfast.   That time it was  very young so it could not easily find its way home.   So I took it to my house.  When my father saw the poor kitten, he was   amazed and my family  liked it too.
Tom is a healthy  cat because I feed it well.  Its favourite food is milk.   But at times we give it  fish.  It sleeps in a basket near my bed, in it   is a small pillow on which it sleeps.  Sometimes when I wake up I  find it sleeping  beside  me on  my bed.  Sometimes we play football.One day when Tom came from outside, it was hurt badly on the right leg, so my father   rushed it to the veterenary office, where it was kept for some time.    This made it very sad.  When it was discharged , it was very happy because it had not drunk milk or eaten  any delicious food since it wasadmitted at the hospital.
Tom has been very helpful to me, apart from keeping watch  over our house    everynight, it has also caught and killed all the mice which were earlier on destroying  our items.
I have not regretted taking Tom as my pet because of the numerous benefits I derive from it.
