While communism, happened bad and good
things, all together which were ruled over by Ceausescu. Because of
him people were not allowed to go in foreign countries because they
could not get a visa and they didn't have their own passport. We were
allowed to go on trips just incommunist countries like U.R.S.S,Bulgaria,
Poland, and Hungary.
In our country it was no democracy. We were forced and forced to vote
just for Ceausescu and the members from P.C.R. In school you had to
study and finish tenth form. After you had finished them, you had to
work, too. Then their were not unemployed people; everybody worked.
The salary they've got then it was modest, but you couldn't buy anything
with it. The food it was rationed. You had access to a half of bread,
half of salami, half of kilo of oil and the same for sugar, and one
gas cylinder per family, per month. In the people's houses hat water,
the heat and the electricity, had a restricted program and most of the
time was nonexistent. Most of the time kids learned at the candle's
light, and women washed and cooked on the same conditions. Women were
forced to give birth to four or five kids. If they did pregnancy interruption
they were put in prison for up to seven years.
With all these horrible things that happened, communism had few good
things: Ceausescu made us equal. Nobody was above the other, people
lived in peace. At work strikes were not allowed. These were some of
the memories about communism.

The communism last almost
25 years. The communist during period there were
money but you couldn't buy anything because the "comrade" Ceausescu
was sanding the products in other countries. You weren't allowed to house
foreigners. We had to pay a tax at the municipal concil and that any one
could come in your house. By six o'clock in the evening it
wasn't any light and those were righting on studying were forged to help
with a candle. At the T.V. you could listen only the comrade Ceausescu`s
speaches at the radio opera munc. You were allowed to speak only about
communism and you weren't permitted to tell your real opinion. Now it
is better because you can watch T.V., you can buy express yourself freely.

Life in the days when our grandparents were young
and our parents were children was total different from the modern life
today. In one way life was litter tiresome, you didn't have "to care
for tomorrow ", but it wasn't very confortable. With the absence
of contort was also getting the food that was absent from Romanian market. As
the food was not enough we had to get up at au early hour to go shopping
a little amount of food. To buy products, you need money, well... all
the people worked, but it was harder for the people to live in a house
because the wages were little and wood was expensive hart at wet, and
people didn't have the wood to make warm. On the radio and on the T.V.
they spoke about Ceausescu and for children it was only ten min. of cartoon
network every evening. We didn't have the freedom of speaking, in society
you had to take care how you carry, and the little word that was wrong
was punished by the "The Security System".
The religion was prohibited in school as in the political life. To go
in other countries was impossible. The same happened to the strangers
that desired to visit our country. However it was better then because
we didn't have to care more for our life and for
tomorrow.
