In 1965 Nicolae Ceausescu became the leader of the Romanian republic. He had this power for 25 years. His cult of personality was the strongest from Eastern Europe and Central Europe. The artists wrote poems about him, the school books were full with his pictures. While Romania was starving and freezing he was getting richer. In the first part of the 25 years they say it was better, but the second part was worse. Supplying was difficult because the main aliments like sugar, oil, meat were very hard to find and at a point there were given by portion. The money were enough, anyway better than now. The hot water, the electricity were given by portion after a strict program. The liberty of the word didn't exist and the newspapers were run by the Romanian Communist Party. The human rights were just a politic principle of the state and the security as a service controlled all the political-social-economic activity in the country. You didn't have the right to leave the country just once in 2 years and justin the countries that took part im the Varsovian Pact(Bulgaria, Russia, Cehoslovakia). The wrong or right notion on the political system from now and then depends on the financial-political interests of the each person.
Interview realized with Eugen Tabuica, 36 years, electrician and Elena Tabuica, 33 years, housewife.

On the time of the communist regime the life was total different than in the day of today. Before there wasn't so many things like now or simply the people don't know about them. And how weren't very much foods from other places in the world lost completed days for to shop a little
amount of foods. One good things was every body had a job, bud vainly was jobs if wages were very little. Those who stay at house were a torture for them because they warmed at fireplace and woods not even heads offices.

After the T.V. were rares the programm was short and spread only the jurnal where spoke Ceausescu. At radio we heard one program, programm's name was "Radio Free Europe" but and there spocke about Ceausescu and his wife, samely hard the music even the folk and the symphony music. The press wasn't large like now just " The sparkle ", "Dobrogea", "The free Rumania" and in those newspapers wasn't allowed to be critics the politicals people because they had to do with "Spectrul Securitatii". You were afraid to said something wrong in the face someone stranger don't denounce. The people don't had laws and are trus not words. This interview it's finsh with something very tragic: not even people from Roumania don't had allowed to go from country . Many personn ran and one date caught went to prison. This intervieu was do with the help of Badea Grigorita dad of Badea Ana Adelina, 7th B grade Eforie Nord School, Romania

During the time of the communism the student from the second grade were made pioneers, everybody got the red tie. The best student in class was made commander of the detachment and the other three students after him at learning were made commanders of the group. These students were busy with school activities.
The celebrations were dedicated to the two leaders Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu. At high school you got in the organization U.T.C.. All the organizations were extolling the Work and the Romanian Communist Party. On that time everybody had to work. The ones who didn't have a job were forced to work. The television didn't have many programs, just TVR with some shows about politics. "Mihaela" was the only cartoon. All the movies were about work and communist activity. It was forbidden to express your
opinion. The newspapers were submissive to the leadership of the Romanian Communist Party. The supply was made very hard. The sugar and the oil were on ration books, and for meat you should wait at long lines.
The hot water, electric power, and the heat were rationed. Their distribution was made after a strict program Traveling in another country was difficult. You could travel just countries that were in the "Pact of Varsovia" at a difference of two years.
